To meet the hospital’s needs, Premier Development & Construction designed and built a waste compound featuring two separate areas: One area for general waste and the other area for clinical waste.

Consisting of timber / mesh fencing on a steel structure and measuring 9.2 meters in width and 5.2 meters in depth, the waste compound provides easy access for hospital staff while ensuring the security of the facility’s waste materials.

The design includes two sets of double gates 2 meters in height with each set of gates leading into its individual, separated compound area. Both compound areas are also equipped with passive infrared (PIR) alert lighting which turn on when it detects movement from only live objects, making them less likely to cause false alarms.
