Premier Development & Construction Develops Hospital Servery Area and Refurbishes Education Kitchen
When Ashford Hospital — part of the Ashford & St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the largest provider of acute hospital services to Surrey residents — needed a proven partner to create a new servery area and to remodel their education kitchen, the administration secured the services of Premier Development & Construction.
The project’s goal was to give each space efficient and safe floorplans to assist hospital staff better serve patients and their families. New areas were designed and created to house a walk-in refrigerator and freezer for increased food storage, and new professional-grade cooking equipment to boost cooking capacity were installed as well. Modern hood ventilation and fire-suppression systems were mounted and tested.
Space was provided for new commercial-grade ovens and stoves, and the food preparation space was completely redesigned with modern, permanently fixed serving stations and new overhead electrical lighting.
The entire project cost £130k, requiring only 8 weeks to complete.
